Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas

Henry Selick – USA – 1993– 73 minut – Czech with English subtitles

The film screening follows the afternoon event for children and parents, , and therefore the movie will be shown in Czech with English subtitles.

Jack Skellington, a melancholy skeleton with a pumpkin head and the unofficial ruler of Halloween Town, is bored. After all, who wouldn’t tire of a never-ending Halloween that lasts all year long? Even his favorite job — scaring children, which he performs diligently and with great creativity, has gone unappreciated this year. Everyone’s attention has been captured by the new stars, popular vampires who have set a record for drinking human blood in a single night. One day, Jack accidentally finds himself in the neighboring Christmas Town. He is completely enchanted by the Christmas holidays, which he has never known before. Everywhere he sees children’s joy, Santa Claus, his presents, and the happiness of adults…
