Kids' Swap: End-of-School-Year Edition

The school year is com­ing to a close – come to Kasár­na Kar­lín to swap your school sup­plies for sum­mer gear! Our Kids’ Swap will take place on Thurs­day and Fri­day, June 19 – 20, from 3 PM to 7 PM.

On Fri­day, the swap will be accom­pa­nied by a cre­ative work­shop led by Lau­ra Hédervári for chil­dren aged 6 – 12.

Swap Cat­e­gories:

• School sup­plies (text­books, books, sta­tionery, etc.)

• Cloth­ing

• Art and sports equipment

• Toys

• Gear for school trips or sum­mer camps

Come and print your dream city – a place that doesn’t exist yet… but could! What should def­i­nite­ly be in it? Maybe a school where you only go once a month? Or a cir­cus that lives in an old army bar­racks? How about an ice cream street, or a tree that grows books instead of leaves? In this work­shop, we’ll build in a whole new way – no bricks, no build­ing blocks, just stamps of all shapes and sizes! No bor­ing towns drawn with rulers here – you’ll be the archi­tect, inven­tor, and artist all at once!

Loca­tion:
The event will take place on the con­crete area next to the play­ground at Kasár­na Kar­lín.

When reg­is­ter­ing, please let us know approx­i­mate­ly how many items you’ll be bring­ing. You’re wel­come to bring things through­out the dura­tion of the event.

We kind­ly ask that you only bring clean items in good con­di­tion that oth­ers can still use. Left­over items can be picked up at the end of the event or will be donat­ed to local char­i­ty bazaars.
