A world of teenage singers, pres­ti­gious con­certs, and a dream tour across Amer­i­ca — this is the renowned girls’ choir that thir­teen-year-old Karolí­na longs to join in the ear­ly 1990s. Dur­ing a piv­otal sea­son, she must face off against tal­ent­ed rivals, includ­ing her old­er sis­ter Lucie, and earn the respect of the revered choir mas­ter. But the del­i­cate bal­ance of a cre­ative rela­tion­ship with an author­i­ty fig­ure — whose meth­ods Karolí­na can­not ful­ly grasp — can quick­ly spi­ral out of control.
