Cof­fee and Cig­a­rettes is a series of short films that come togeth­er to form a fea­ture-length movie (or maybe the oth­er way around). In each seg­ment, a few char­ac­ters sit around drink­ing cof­fee, smok­ing cig­a­rettes, and talk­ing about top­ics as var­ied as caf­feinat­ed pop­si­cles, Abbott & Costel­lo, the mys­ter­ies sur­round­ing Elvis, the prop­er way to brew tea, Niko­la Tesla’s inven­tions, a fic­tion­al rock band called SQÜRL, 1920s Paris, and the use of nico­tine as an insecticide…

As for the cast, it’s an extreme­ly eclec­tic group of excep­tion­al actors and musi­cians, por­tray­ing an equal­ly eclec­tic mix of quirky char­ac­ters. (Offi­cial distributor’s text)
