—Sustainable Christmas Trees

We are very hap­py to offer you Christ­mas trees from the selec­tive thin­ning of South Bohemi­an forests at Kasár­na this year.

As part of for­est care, foresters reg­u­lar­ly thin out small trees that pre­vent larg­er trees around them from grow­ing prop­er­ly. These trees would nor­mal­ly be left unused in the for­est. We give them a sec­ond chance and offer them as a sus­tain­able alter­na­tive. They are not as per­fect­ly shaped and neat as plan­ta­tion trees, because they grow nat­u­ral­ly. But they have their own unique charm and smell like Czech forests.

You’ll find most­ly spruces, with a small­er num­ber of firs and pines avail­able at the stand.

All trees are sold at a flat price of 449 CZK, paid online in advance when you place your order. Trees range from 100 to 250 cm in height, and you’ll choose your own imper­fect beau­ty right here at Kasár­na. Any trees left over will be sold on site for 499 CZK.

Part of the pro­ceeds from each tree is donat­ed by Šetrné stromky to Kasár­na to sup­port our mis­sion of keep­ing the out­door area open for as long as pos­si­ble. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, the build­ing per­mit process is still not com­plete, and we still can­not allow access to indoor spaces. So every tree ordered through us also sup­ports the day-to-day run­ning of Kasár­na. Thank you!
