Summer Cinema — Buster Keaton vs. HJÖRTUR

Silent films with live music are back at Kasár­na Kar­lín! 
This time we’re pre­sent­ing a hat-trick of time­less Buster Keaton come­dies by the only man whose fame could rival Char­lie Chap­lin’s. 
The pro­gramme fea­tures three clas­sics: One Week, The High Sign, and Sher­lock Jr., accom­pa­nied live by Josef Schmidt, aka Hjörtur. 

Orig­i­nal­ly from Prague, the musi­cian and rap­per cre­ates alter­na­tive elec­tron­ic music span­ning ambi­ent and tech­no. His work draws on the atmos­phere of the city at night, explor­ing deep bass fre­quen­cies, heavy ​’80s influ­ences, and stark min­i­mal­ist soundscapes.
